I’d like to apologize for the long delay in posting this. At one point I actually Soccer Dad like a regular Dad but Cooler vintage shirt the nerve to say that I’d post these 3 times a week (optimism is the worst kind of drug) and now it took 6 months between posts. It was mostly just thanks to a bunch of little reasons. I get irrational anxiety when people like what I do so I sometimes run away from it (emphasis on irrational) as well as having things come up in my life that I made a priority. I think I was a little burnt out and that was a big contribution to me just abandoning this project for a while. This is a shame because I find it a ton of fun and love hearing people’s opinions on these shows. With that said I’d like to thank along with everyone else for reminding me how long it’s been and say I’m going to try to post one of these every month or two depending on whats going on in real life. Though I’m really gonna push for one a month.

Love what you’re doing. I feel you man, I’ve been trying to do something like this for Shooto, Pancrase, etc their beginnings. Almost finish the shoto write up and have Soccer Dad like a regular Dad but Cooler vintage shirt did the first two Pancrase’s that featured guys like Bas Rutten and Frank Shamrock. I also feel anxiety when people like what I’ve done and want more (sad lol). Put me on! First time reading one of these, I’m a boxing guy mostly, so the description of early MMA is always fascinating to me, I’ve seen early UFC fights before (Royce with his Gi), but all in all thanks for your write up. Great read. I love these breakdowns. You’re making me want to go back and rewatch a bunch of them. I haven’t seen em in years.

Honestly that’s the perspective I love. I originally started to write these up only having seen 1-2 full UFC cards. The older ones were just straight up bullet points and now it’s turned into full on articles but I try to keep with the idea whoever is reading might be unfamiliar with the sport. I’m also going to go back and rewrite about the older events so they’re more in this style so Soccer Dad like a regular Dad but Cooler vintage shirt should be fun. Promise to message you when the next one is up! Do you listen to the Rewind series hosted by Jack Encarnacao? I stumbled across them while I was writing for Fightland and realized that I was trying to write exactly the way he narrates that series.
