The big payoff is always in the next episode, but nothing ever happens other than a promise of an even bigger payoff in the one after that. When I posted Goldberg’s leadoff article here, the main point of discussion seemed to devolve into something about Goldberg being an apartheid prison guard, which I thought unfortunate. I mean, he volunteered for the IDF, and was somewhat circumspect about the experience. This is a great article; I read it a few days ago. I figure “Q” stands for “Qohelet,” the author of Ecclesiastes, which gives us the injunction to “fear god.” Most likely a QAnon Great Awakening Deepstate by Scralandore T-Shirt dangling worm for the big mouth bass that is evangelical millennialism in this country.

According to the podcast Reply All many (most?) of the conspiracies that originated in 4Chan were actually from users trolling MRAs on 4Chan, playing to the gullibility of users looking for extreme things to justify their craziness. It’s so weird this stuff made it to mainstream consciousness. Still conspiracy in mainstream consciousness is nothing new. Before this it was Birtherism, before that Loose Change 9/11, then UFOs, then Kennedy Assassination, and on and on. They persist because like Russell’s Teapot they exist on the premise QAnon Great Awakening Deepstate by Scralandore T-Shirt they must be disproven, rather than affirmatively based on evidence, and unlike Russell’s Teapot, evidence that does disprove the conspiracy is only part of the conspiracy.
