I’m agreeing with you too. Just wanted to add that point about how they were providing it for free. Your argument points are spot on. Sorry my comment was awkward – I don’t comment a ton on these types of threads often but I am passionate about the border camps and wanted to chime in. Official Flu Shot Saves Lives T-Shirt Def could have done better. As Dostoevsky famously wrote, a society can best be judged by how it treats its prisoners. These are people being held against their will. Their access to basic necessities -and regular medical care including vaccinations is a basic necessity- should be without question. It’s almost as if the entire point of the camps is to deter people by subjecting them to intentionally terrible living conditions.

It’s almost as if caging humans anywhere whether it be the Japanese, Jewish people, or people from Latin America is wrong. Children have died, been raped, and have been starved. They’re coming in and seeking asylum which isn’t illegal. Most people get one through Official Flu Shot Saves Lives T-Shirt insurance and/or employer. Buying it at Walgreens is really the most expensive option. Like I said, only if you choose the most expensive option. Many, many employers have vaccination clinics because it drastically reduces the cost of both the vaccine and the medical staff. And arguing that it’s not free because people pay for health insurance or pay the taxes that subsidize Medicaid/Medicare and/or free shots… please stop. We’re talking about additional out of pocket expenses at the time of service, not what people may have already paid for.
