Imagine playing The Sims, but instead of having control of movement of your character, you give him directions on tasks and you get clear text with what they are saying and you get to pick responses to what others are saying. I’m not the most imaginative person so in CK2 I liked goals that kind of revolved around changing a region forever. I really liked huge decisions like reforming Rome, becoming Samrat Chakravartin, or forming the Slavic Union, as those instantly get rid of entire empires and create entire new empires that change the world forever. I like that shit. CK2 was best when you set your own goal. You could form the Empire of Dundee (not named Mens King Was Born In September Virgo Birthday T-Shirt unless you have the DLC for renaming realms though) under the immortal King Angus McFife and take over all of Europe. Or maybe you want to spread Norse paganism throughout the world. Become the first Empress of the HRE (I think that’s technically possible without mods?).
