As a lifetime goalie fan, this is the kind of post I wish I’d written/researched. Superb! You should tweet it at Jeff Marek, I’m sure he’d also enjoy. Thanks for the random trivia brain food today. I’d love to see this get updated each year if any new goalies break the mold as well. Personally I think it’s pretty boring that a lot of goalies have just started wearing 40 and 41 now. Something I’d be curious to see (and maybe I’ll just have to not be lazy and do the math myself) – how many goalies all time have worn each number. Legends Were Born In October 1997 23rd Birthday T-Shirt Thanks, much appreciated! I’m a huge goalie fan myself, so it was kind of fun finding all of these. Unfortunately I don’t have a Twitter account so i can’t send to Marek, but thanks for the compliment nonetheless.

In the history of the NHL, quite a few actually: Jordan Binnington, Martin Brochu, Gerald Coleman, Chris Clifford, Corey Crawford, Reinhart Davis, Kristers Gudlevskis, Jonas Gustavsson, Ray LeBlanc, Nathan Lieuwen, Chris Mason, Dany Sabourin, Christian Soucy Wait, hold on. This post is great and full of incredibly useful information, but you can’t just leave us hanging like that. If your favorite player was a garden vegetable, which would he be? As a goalie I loved this thanks! Also Legends Were Born In October 1997 23rd Birthday T-Shirt good guy Holtby not changing his number because people bought jerseys already haha That’s such a Canadian thing to do. Get assigned a number, do pretty OK in it, then feel like it would be a mean thing to switch it once people have bought the jersey

Sigalet was called up to the Bruins to be the backup for one game in 2006 and ended up having to replace Andrew Raycroft, who sprained his ankle with 43 seconds left In the game. Sigalet didn’t face a shot and it ended up being his only ever NHL appearance. I actually just edited his section real quick to add to it because he’s an awesome story. Sigalet was diagnosed with MS while playing NCAA hockey but was still able to play professionally for 5 years after graduating. Not that it needs to be allowed, but saying ‘#00 wouldn’t register in their online database is either a lie or the people in charge of the database are incompetent. Legends Were Born In October 1997 23rd Birthday T-Shirt I know a little about that kinda stuff and even I could probably figure something out.
