Awesome I am 29 and I’m honestly just figuring out my political views. It can be hard and confusing at a young age especially with a candidate like Bernie Sanders and the rise of leftist politicians like AOC. It sounds like you are thinking for yourself and figuring what social media influences like reddit can do. Joe Biden and Super Kamala Harris for President in 2020 T-Shirt I thought I was a Republican at your age and wasn’t that into politics. Not to mention how political parties change and evolve over time. Having blind loyalty to a political party is insane if it changes to the point that your initial reason for identifying with them disappears. Sometimes I feel like I’m the only progressive who didn’t want to replace Nancy Pelosi or didn’t want to vote for, and was excited by, Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden.

I like consider myself a “Practical Progressive”. What I mean is a person with heavy progressive, far-left views while also accepting and embracing Moderates and their positions as well. Basically, here’s this: I’m good with compromise. I think you’ll find a lot of the so-called moderates are like that. The reality is progress is hard; if it weren’t, it would be done already. So only people who are willing to push for it one step at a time are real progressives – not the people spreading histrionics on social media. It’s very encouraging to see other millennials have the maturity and wisdom to see through that bs. Joe Biden and Super Kamala Harris for President in 2020 T-Shirt Reddit was so badly gamed by Bernie bros it’s sorta unbelievable that people still take this site seriously. In 9 years it has gone from cat pic aggregator to outrage porn aggregator. Just a huge piece of shit.

I’m also a pragmatic progressive. I caucused for Bernie in 2016 and really wanted Pete this time but ended up voting for Biden right after Pete dropped out. Bernie’s vision pretty well reflects the vision of the kinds of benefits I’d like to see the people receive. I think Biden would actually say the same. But a pragmatist’s ideals are tempered by considerations of what’s mathematically and politically possible in this moment. What can we afford? What will Congress pass, given how many members come from genuinely moderate districts and are trying to faithfully represent moderate constituents? Obviously the Joe Biden and Super Kamala Harris for President in 2020 T-Shirt status quo is not satisfactory and much needs to change, but Biden’s agenda reflects very meaningful change on practically every issue. His plans don’t go as far as Bernie’s, but what really matters is not the purity of what’s promised but the value of what’s delivered.
