I don’t carry a gun around or have bad feelings or mistrust of people who don’t have guns or any fear or paranoia though. I just have more than 5 guns, a moderate cache of ammunition and I like reading gun forums. I’d call myself an enthusiast, but I don’t feel like I’m addicted to guns. Who knows though, maybe I’m in denial. lol. It still surprises me how many people who don’t own guns seem to assume that people who have more than a couple and are “enthusiasts” all must be maladjusted, super insecure and nervous and writhing with anger. For sure people like that exist, but as someone on the other side of the equation, I know lots of gun enthusiasts and literally none of them have those qualities. I wouldn’t hang out with people I’m a Gunaholic on the road to Recovery Just kidding Shirt feel anxious unless they have a loaded gun on them at all times or who don’t trust people who don’t own guns or any of that silly stuff.

Just wanted to get that out there guys. Believe it or not, there are lots of gun enthusiasts who just really like guns, but aren’t paranoid dicks or rageaholics. Just like there are guys who like big 4×4’s and don’t have small dicks and inferiority complexes. Sometimes people just, you know, like stuff because they like it, not because they have some deep-seated personality defects. But the people you’re thinking of are definitely out there of course. I see ’em I’m a Gunaholic on the road to Recovery Just kidding Shirt forums for sure. Just want you to know that my experience is that most gun owners are NOT like that. Motorcycle riding, mountain climbing, hang gliding, bungee jumping, boxing/MMA, whitewater rafting, even scuba diving all have MUCH higher risk of fatality or injury than someone who shoots guns responsibly.

Just my opinion. In summary, I think there is such a thing as a gun addiction, but this particular questionnaire isn’t a good measure of it. It should include questions about the person continuing to buy/use guns despite an ever-increasing series of negative consequences. That is a key component of the addictive cycle. A heavy drinker drinks alot, until he crashes his car one night or passed out and gets a head injury. Then he sais “whoa, I’m a Gunaholic on the road to Recovery Just kidding Shirt I need to slow down” and he moderates his drinking or stops. The alcoholic drinks, crashes his car, drinks some more, loses his job, keeps drinking, loses his wife and family, still drinking, loses his home etc. Like that.
