You should have a disclaimer that a lot of these are speculation, i.e. not the official explanation for their names. For example, the Jhin one was stated not to have been on purpose, and I highly doubt some of the anagram ones (Maokai came from a rioter’s name, and ‘Emote’ has no relation to Teemo). Celtic Dragon – Norse Mythological Dragon T-Shirt More like a reference to ‘jin’ (gold in chinese -> golden demon) and ‘shinu’ or ‘shi’ (to die or death in japanese; the second one is also associated with 4 because of the pronunciation and guess which number Jhin is obsessed with?). Jhin is Ionian, so Chinese and Japanese name origins are more likely. In Quran, they are said to be beings who have their own universe like humans, but they are also said to be deceitful and evil to humans. So i thought evil demons would be more easier to understand for others.

“Evil demon” would be closer to “shaytan”, although the distinction between jinn, demons, and humans isn’t very clear. Regardless, jinn certainly aren’t characterized as definitively evil. i would like to see more arabic culture in lol. maybe an assassin dressed as jasmine with 2 knifes, but she has a magical hijab that makes her invisible. or something like a geenie There’s literally only 1 Korean inspired champion despite Korea having the highest pop % of LoL Celtic Dragon – Norse Mythological Dragon T-Shirt players vs General population in the world. If it fits the lore go ahead but I think pulling stuff from real cultures vs trying to develop the cultures of the lore is misguided. “Khada Jhin” is also a stage name and is just something he picked to go along with the mask iirc. Apparently “Khada” means “gold” in Ionian or something.

If these are speculation, I want to throw my pure speculation into the mix: I have never seen this confirmed anywhere but I have a headcanon that says “Twisted Fate” comes from the lyrics “Sleight of hand, and twist of fate…” in With or Without You by U2. It sounds like Bono is singing “twisted fate” if you aren’t paying attention too hard. It’s Celtic Dragon – Norse Mythological Dragon T-Shirt real connection I’ve seen between cards/magician and the words “twist and fate” together. No one can de-convince me of this. And if this is just a pure coincidence, then it’s an awesome coincidence. As a native German speaker I’d argue that Mordekaiser would better be translated into “Murder Emperor” or “Emperor of Murder” since “Slayer of Kings” would be “Königstöter” König=King and Töter= of X
