As a newbie I like this bike. I think its main problem from the noob perspective the whole time has really been the engine. Everyone has known from almost its birth that the 300 will be replaced with the presumably much better for this role 400, but not when that will happen. Pretty much every comment section I’ve seen on this bike says ‘wait’. Well that and its gormless looking face. Very interested in a 390 adventure next year, but I hope a little more actually that it makes Kawi do the Kawi thing and finally update this bike 6 Things I Do In My Spare Time Motocross T-Shirt to the 400 platform to one up KTM. That should give it a bit more useable range lower down – most people’s complaint. Oh and styling! Kawi: please finish drawing the front

So I actually just came home with a grey 2017 versys x300 yesterday as my first bike ever. After 40 miles I have decided I absolutely love it! The bike is amazing. All the msf instructors and salespeople told me it wouldn’t have enough power, “the 300 can’t even keep up at 60.” All of it bs. I’m so happy 6 Things I Do In My Spare Time Motocross T-Shirt my purchase and I would highly recommend it for anyone new to riding. I’m 220lbs and the bike lugs me around like I’m not even there. Honestly been thinking the same thing. I was nervous about blowing my money on a 300 and it being nothing. I honestly feel like dealers and instructors should be pushing brand new riders towards the smaller bikes first, so much more room for error.

This is basically saying everything I’ve been thinking about this bike. Plenty capable on the road, not expensive, and won’t shit itself when I take it on a gravel road. Unfortunately, I don’t have much “off-road” experience. I’ve ridden the mountain loop highway a couple of times, but I need to make a point to go camping up some forest service roads when it starts warming back up. I must say though, you are the first person I’ve seen say anything good about the seat. Every paid reviewer complained 6 Things I Do In My Spare Time Motocross T-Shirt it, as did a riding buddy of mine. Would you consider getting a softer one like what seat concepts sells? Or would that be detrimental in some way?
